THE STORY OF DIDRIKSONS
They have a simple philosophy: rather than challenge the elements, they adapt to them. Just like Julius and Hanna Didrikson did back in 1913, when they began producing workwear for the fishermen in Grundsund on the west coast of Sweden. For over one hundred years they have remained true to their original basic concept, producing functional garments that keep you dry whatever the weather. And that is perhaps why today, more than one hundred years later, they are still one of Scandinavia’s leading brands for rainwear and functional clothing.
They started as a family business and maintain the principle of connection throughout the years. They make clothes for the whole family. Simply because everyone needs protection that works all day, whether it’s raining or not. They stick to classic designs that work timelessly and are therefore also useful in the long run.
The world, however, has changed a lot since the time when Julius and Hana founded the Didriksons. All the employees are even today very aware of this. They are constantly striving to have as low impact on the environment through their production as possible. They minimize the use of chemicals, absolutely avoid toxic substances and optimize the use of water, energy and transport as much as possible. However, they maintain this philosophy in the future in the awareness that we ourselves influence the world we leave to our children.
